Kurtz has over 30 years of experience in healthcare management, including the last 10 years in oral and maxillofacial surgery practice management. He has expertise in all aspects of practice management, including but not limited to operations, finance, and marketing.
Kurtz was the Associate Director of the Theodore Cooper Surgical Research Institute at Saint Louis University, and he was business manager at the Center for Advanced Dental Education at Saint Louis University where he taught practice management. After leaving Saint Louis University, Kurtz was President of Provident Practice Group, a dental practice management consulting firm that he sold in 2008. Currently, he is Practice Administrator for University Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, a private practice associated with Barnes-Jewish Hospital in Saint Louis, MO.
He is the author of numerous refereed scientific publications, book chapters, and magazine articles.
